It has been wonderful to see so many friends sharing one thing they are thankful for each day in November on Facebook. It is fun to read what people come up with and how they are showing appreciation for even the smallest things in their daily lives. The holiday season is definitely upon us -- Thanksgiving is only a week ago -- and there are so many things to be thankful for. I am thankful for the great friends and people who I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by. You know you are doing something right in life when you are invited to a homemade holiday card making party! That's right, this weekend I will be so lucky as to join a group of ladies to snack and craft for an afternoon in preparation for this gift-giving season.
To get ready, I pulled everything, well not everything, lots of things from the craft closet. Dun, dun, dunnnnnn. This is what I came up with: scrapbooking paper, magazine cutouts, colored cardstock, cardboard, buttons, antique Christmas planning book, envelopes, string, and ribbon. I think I will be able to get my collage on by mixing papers with magazine cutouts, then adding string and ribbon for dimensionality.
I have started to pull my tools together as well: large and small scissors, double-sided tape, cutting mat, pens and pencils, x-acto knife, extra blades, small t-square, metal scale, and glue.
Keep your eyes out next week to see what we come up with this weekend!
