senior living communities
studio 4-3, spring 2010
The senior living communities exercise posed in the fourth studio asks students to develop two schemes for the same building type in very different climates. These environments include Haverford, Pennsylvania and Tuscon, Arizona. The resulting designs are both representative of a single concept, community based on circulation. Each scheme creates meaningful common spaces to connect units and their inhabitants. This allows for the community of residents to meet regularly in daily encounters.
